V1.12 ARROWBRIDGE (8th April, 1995)

NEW FEATURES
* The map now loads * INSTANTLY *, ie. the delays have been removed
* Diagonal movement during combat for both the adventurer and monsters
* Gems can be found in fountains
* Armour is now far more effective
* Thieves now have twice as many moves as other classes
* Thieves can now use swords
* Thieves get an extra combat round
* Potions now relieve poison and heal 70-90hp regardless of player level
* Fountains heal the player to full health
* New player intro message to provide guidance when a new player begins
* New players now start with 5 torches and 2 potions
* Frigates can now be purchased in the unregistered version
* Help screen added for combat commands
* Projectiles miss less often
* Combat at sea is now more realistic
* Dungeon fountains are no longer poisonous
BUG FIXES
* Frigates no longer disappear
* A king committing suicide will no longer result in a "Player Not Found"
* The bridge combat bug with a frigate has been fixed

* Inter-BBS messaging
* Bank loans are no longer available to level 1 characters (to reduce
cheating)
* Bank account transfers are not permitted for overdrawn accounts
* Potions heal 40-60 hp regardless of level
* Castle henchmen are cheaper
* The weather changes more often
* The number of monsters has been restricted for lower level characters
* Only higher level monsters will tend to align themselves to fire
projectiles

* Players are no longer visible on the surface when they sleep underground

BUG FIXES
* Monsters were NOT hitting fairly. A bug was discovered whereby a level
15 monster against a level 1 character (with no armour) would only hit
the character once every six attempts. This has now been fixed - beware!
* Security sometimes not added to mail packets when ABTOOLS OUTBOUND is
run more than once per day has been fixed
* The dragon does not disappear if you run from him when in his lair
* Magic points will never drop below zero
* No more errors when operating in 50 line mode
* All compass co-ordinates have shifted one position

This version contains a completely new routine for setting up the game.
ABTOOLS SETUP must be run and all information re-entered before playing!
NEW FEATURES
* Level 12 & above adventurers can now claim a magic weapon
* Cheaper sleeping in Inns
* Added code to give back timeslices to Desqview
* DOOR.SYS compatibility
* ABTOOLS now identifies the BBS with its address and not its name.
* Inter-BBS messaging now MUCH more efficient (far less traffic)!

* The land of Oxley in Philistia bug has been fixed
* Fixed backspace problem
* Added lower case when entering messages
* "Thou art tired" messaging enabled
* Turn undead no longer "re-kills" monsters that have already been slain
* Fixed the season follows date bug where the incorrect season was displayed
* Monsters no longer stuck on bridges

has catastophic effects on the map
